The University of Brescia, Italy Partners with MadCap Software to Advance Students’ Real-World Expertise in Technical Writing and Documentation
La Jolla, CA and Brescia, Italy – Jan 02, 2019 – The University of Brescia is partnering with MadCap Software to help students gain the technical writing expertise needed to enter a competitive workforce. The new partnership with the MadCap Scholar Program will provide Managerial Engineering students with the chance to gain real-world experience with MadCap Flare, the most advanced technical authoring and publishing solution on the market.
In choosing to work with MadCap Flare, the University of Brescia first tested use of the software with students. The teacher would demonstrate a writing procedure using MadCap Flare on a case study, and then students would use the software to apply the procedure to a similar case study. The students found MadCap Flare easy to use, and educators observed that it increased their learning speed and motivation.
Today, the University of Brescia is integrating MadCap Flare into the Laboratory of Technical Documentation course, which combines a mix of theory and practice. Using MadCap Flare, students will apply technical writing concepts introduced in the course’s lectures through exercises that give them hands-on experience with a professional content management system.
Based on the success of our initial work with MadCap Flare, we believe that adding it to our Laboratory of Technical Documentation course will enable students to quickly gain the real-world skills required by today’s businesses.
