MadCap Software Awarded by Association of Support Professionals for Having One of the Industry's Ten Best Web Support Sites
MadCap’s Online Support Recognized for Excellence in Design, Customer Experience, Usability and Interactivity
La Jolla, CA – April 29, 2008 — MadCap Software, the leader in multi-channel content authoring and a showcase company for Microsoft (NASDAQ: MSFT) Visual Studio 2005 and Microsoft XPS, today announced that its website has been named one of the “Ten Best Web Support Sites” of 2008 by the Association of Support Professionals (ASP).
Each year, the prestigious ASP award recognizes the ten companies that best exemplify excellence in online service and support. Key factors include a best-in-class approach to overall usability, design and navigation; interactive features; knowledgebase and search implementation; and customer experience. In addition to MadCap Software, some of the other companies awarded were Cisco Systems, Dell, Intuit, Juniper Networks, McAfee, and Novell.
“As MadCap and our other 2008 winners demonstrate, Web support has come a long, long way in the past decade," says ASP executive director Jeffrey Tarter. "The industry has learned how to deliver a huge amount of information and support services in a form that engages and delights customers—and every year, the standard of excellence rises even higher.”
MadCap’s website and the other nine winning sites will be profiled in a book called "The Ten Best Web Support Sites of 2008," to be published by ASP in June.
“At MadCap, we are equally committed to providing state-of-the-art, XML-based authoring software for creating world-class Web support sites and to delivering the gold standard in online support and services to our customers,” said Anthony Olivier, MadCap CEO. “We are very honored to be recognized as a winner of the ASP’s prestigious 'Ten Best Web Support Sites’ award. It highlights, not only the superior, Web 2.0-enabled online support experience we bring to customers, but also the rich functionality enabled by our MadCap authoring and analysis products, which provide the foundation of our Web-based support.”
