Cedarville University Partners with MadCap Software to Provide Students with Real-World Experience in Creating User Documentation
San Diego, CA and Cedarville, OH – November 10, 2020 – Cedarville University today announced it has partnered with MadCap Software to assist its students with the latest technologies and learning best practices in technical authoring.
Through the partnership, Cedarville University will provide students in its PWID-3250 Documentation Design course with hands-on experience using MadCap Flare, the leading authoring, publishing and content management solution for today’s content developers. Students will master techniques used to plan, design and create user documentation through systematic user analysis, task identification and effective visual design. To complete their final assignment of the semester, students will employ an audience-focused approach to create user documentation, create effective software documentation in both print and online formats and use visual and document design techniques to help audiences easily navigate through documentation created in MadCap Flare.
“We chose MadCap Software because Flare is a solution that’s commonly required for any technical documentation role today. Experience with Flare will give students the edge in applying for internships and full-time employment during their studies and post-graduation.”
Jennifer Wingerter | Assistant Professor of Professional Writing and Information Design, Cedarville University
