Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College Partners with MadCap Software to Give Students Hands-on Experience with Industry Recognized Authoring Tools

San Diego, CA and Tifton, Georgia – January 27, 2020 – Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College (ABAC) forms partnership with MadCap Software to grant students access to industry recognized topic-based authoring tools. ABAC had been searching for additional ways to offer their students more hands-on experience in conjunction with their current course material. When they found the MadCap Scholar Program they were pleased to find that their students could not only gain professional and technical writing skills, but advance their knowledge with tools that were well known in the field.

Utilizing MadCap Flare, the most advanced technical authoring and publishing solution on the market, students will be tasked with building an array of deliverables and help guides ranging in topics. These deliverables follow the “write once, publish anywhere” principle, teaching students that single-source publishing offers an efficient way to publish different versions of content to multiple outputs all from a single source. Students will also be able to use MadCap Central, a cloud-based project management tool for collaboration and project management.

I selected MadCap Flare because I want to give students hands-on experience with topic-based authoring through software that multiple employers recognize as an industry standard.

Dr. Andrea Krafft | Assistant Professor of Writing and Communication, ABAC

“Through the MadCap Scholar Program, we are committed to providing students the opportunity to learn using the most advanced technical communication products available” said Anthony Olivier, MadCap founder and CEO. “We’re excited to partner with Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College and support the university’s efforts to provide students with real-world experience to equip students with the tools they need to succeed."
