Opening a Table of Contents

You can quickly open a TOC anytime you need to work on it.

How to open the master TOC

• In the Project toolbar, click . (If you do not see the Project toolbar, select View>Toolbars>Project.)

OR

• Press CTRL+F8 on your keyboard.

How to open a specific TOC

1. Make sure the Project Organizer is open. By default, the Project Organizer is located on the left side of the interface in an accordion structure with the Content Explorer, unless you have previously moved it and saved the new layout. You may have to click the Project Organizer bar to bring it into view.

2. Double-click the TOCs folder.

   The TOC(s) in your project are displayed.

3. Double-click the TOC that you want to open.

   The TOC opens in the TOC Editor to the right.
